Hina Vohra Whoever wrote that readers don't lie epilogues lied to you. I love epilogues. I get so attached to the characters, as long as its well done, I love to see them after the happily ever after (or in your case the not-so-HEA). I love sequels even more though (more time with them!) so I'm glad you decided to remove it.

Also, I personally feel that some stories without epilogues feel somewhat incomplete. As if once the conflict is resolved the author decides the characters have ceased to exist. It all depends on the way the author write it ofc. But your epilogue was perfect for BoY. Please don't change the way you write because of some article. I loved what you did and hope you keep writing great stories.

Sam Aw, thank you! :) I kinda needed to hear that, lol. I won't. I feel the same way--some stories benefit from epilogues. The only time I really dislike epilogues is when I feel like they don't fit the characters or the rest of the story.
For better or worse, I have to write the story the characters want to live, because I've tried fighting them before and it gives me writer's block. My characters tend to be pretty noisy about doing things a certain way, lol.
