Tara I hope that you will continue to highlight women’s issues. There’s no doubt that infringement on women’s rights is coming in the near future, as Vox points out in an extreme way. Thanks for writing it. I’m sure that it’s raising awareness!

Jackie Gill I Loved Vox and Master Class, but they were too short. I was so disappointed when they ended because I wanted more. There really isn't much out there for me to turn to for this type of fiction. Since dystopians serve as warnings, it would be nice if you went back and took us through the start of the change. I know you told us about it, but I would like you to have shown us, taken through the events with the character. Really both of these books could have easily been the start of a series. Make it so people can see how America could become dystopian America. Our current government is certainly making this reality seem more likely, but I still wonder if most don't still say that something like this couldn't REALLY happen in America. I teach a special topics course in dystopian literature, I wish I could add your novels to the curriculum, unfortunately, there are too many curse words/sex scenes for me to add them. I had students complain about the F word that showed up TWICE in The Handmaid's Tale and THT keeps me busy fighting for it. I absolutely love your modern take on the dystopia, this is something much needed, but we still have so many fragile people out there looking for any excuse to ban a book that I start out getting excited about a new addition to my course and then I am deflated when the cursing or sex scenes begin. Again, I loved these books, read both of them in about three days, I am looking forward to more.
