Thanks for your prompt reply. How do I contact Janny Wurts? (I'm one of the many computer morons - don't know how to get in touch with unknown people on GR.)
As a city-boy, I'd say the "relationship" was mainly:
Hunt animal, track, see, prowl, shoot, dress, haul, butcher, salt (most of it), cook (a few meals), eat.
