I pored through the books noting the descriptions for characters because I wanted to draw them (still do!) and you do get a vague idea of their general appearance just from how they’re described. As a reader, I loved that style because it was less distracting (some books constantly seem to remind you about someone’s blue eyes or curly locks etc to the point where it gets a bit annoying), but as an artist, I admit I really wanted a few more details haha!
