Manny’s answer to “How come "fun size" candy bars are so small? Wouldn't it be more fun to eat a larger bar?” > Likes and Comments

Based on my research, the 'fun' implied in 'fun size' is not in the indulging, per se, of the singular, small, individually wrapped candy bar, but rather alludes to an overall experience of gaiety at collecting an assortment of similarly sized treats and sorting, trading, accumulating piles of discarded wrappers, and even vomiting after overindulging. It is often a child's first experience with binging, setting a precedent for college years. Hence, 'fun'. Feel free to reference my findings in your research.
