Good answer! I agree, by the way, that WW1 gets far too little consideration. It seems that WW2 (in the U.S., anyway) sort of obliterated it from our memory. We have made books, movies, TV shows, etc. about WW2 ever since it ended, but rarely so about WW1. Yet, I believe the lessons it has to offer are at least as (probably more) important. Thanks again!
Hi Tim.
I agree with your sentiments. The world appears to be spiraling in to stupidity from where I'm sitting on the sidelines. People need to get back to nature and start thinking again.
Politics is set up to prevent change and when someone who wants real change comes along (rarely) their chances of not having their soul destroyed is slim. Jacinda Arden in New Zealand will be an interesting example to watch. US politics is just organised crime. The UK isn't much better.
I recently watched You Will Not Grow Old. Peter Jackson revitalising 100 year old movie from WW1 and telling and interesting story with it. Here's the trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHYRf....
The BBC did a 26-episode documentary series called The Great War back in 1964 which you can get on DVD.
