Eileen That's amazing -- I hadn't realized it was so long ago you started the series. I've now read the entire series twice and listened to whatever is available once. I LOVE this universe and I love all the characters. You are one of my husband's and my favorite authors. :)

Jenia Rand Yep! I was born in early 1983 and the books have certainly maintained their value :)

Scott There's no question that the series has held up. I introduced a good friend to the Vorkosiverse about a year ago and he liked it a lot. Given that the book immediately preceding it was Faulkner and that, like me, he's read a lot of the "classics", I think it's safe to say that you're in good literary standing even if much of the literary community balks at giving your whole genre credit. Stand Tall, Madam. Stand Tall.

Kate I was born in 1981, so I squeak in just ahead! I didn't discover the series until 2008, but your books (and Grover Gardner's voice) helped me through a nasty breakup and they're still what I turn to when I'm under a lot of stress. I also gave my son the middle name "Miles" and it's entirely too apropos. So thank you for writing them!

Susan I have all the books in hardback - starting collecting when the first one came out in the SF Book Club. I have reread the entire series many times, and a couple of my favorites even oftener. I also found the Penric books as ebooks and enjoyed them very much, too!
