Thanks, Lee. Glad you're enjoying the stories.
There are two reasons for the delay, here. One is simply publishing. We had 13 months between the publication dates of the two 'Stars Uncharted' books.
The second reason is our own bad writing. We had all that time, and more, because we delivered Stars Uncharted early. We wrote the second book, sent it to both the publisher and our agent, and our agent came back (before the editor had time to read it). "This is not a story," she said. "It's a series of unconnected events." (Awesome agent, everyone should have one.)
So she negotiated an extra month for us to rewrite. It was originally due out in September, that gave us till October. But the timing was tight for printing then, so she and the editor negotiated, and we ended up with January of the next year.
In the interim, the story has had a complete rewrite.

Please excuse my ignorance, I am unfamiliar with the book publishing industry... Why is the publishing date for the next book so far away? Is this because you are still working on the book, or some other factors? I am simply curious (and anxious, lol), and do not mean to be offensive.
