It is probably the influence of the audio books, but I've pictured Edward James Olmos as Aral
I'd been picturing Louis Ferreira (Colonel Young from Stargate Universe) as Galeni, but I could absolutely see B7-era Paul Darrow in the role!
This has been the subject of dinner table conversation for days here and we're having loads of fun: Stanley Tucci would be a good Illyan. Kate Blanchette as any of several Cetagandans. Melissa McCarthy as Laisa. Roic = "The Rock" of course. Benedict Cumberbatch as any of the creepier characters (Ges Vorrutyer, Vordarian). Ryan Reynolds would be a fun Byerly. Tessa Thompson as Tej.
With her energy, bluntness and commanding presence, I think for Cordelia Katherine Hepburn (OK, I know not available) or Geena Davis.
