I'll second the narrator. At first the lack of voice affect and conversational pauses made me a little worried for the narration. As I relaxed into the performance, it became clear that the style perfectly matched the character and I can't imagine murderbot with any other voice.
I loved the narration also. I wonder how many people will think of murderbot as a male now though as opposed to what it is, a bot with no sex designation (as of yet and I hope it stays that way). I wonder how many people already do. If the narrator was female would people think of murderbot as a She?
Yes fingers crossed it will be Kevin R Free for the murderbot novel too. It really adds to the stores hearing him reenact them
Do you have a timeline on the audiobook version of the 2020 novel? It made my exercising so much more interesting than normal!
