Margaret 1 in 3 women are raped in their lifetimes. It is a very real issue. You cover it well, without giving horrific details. Their survival afterwards is the focus. This is well done.

Carol L Cridge I agree with Margaret. Wish 40 years ago there were more books and people willing to take on such a hugely emotional issue. Sometimes words on paper do help...immensely. Well done indeed.

Jamie Campbell Don't change anything about your books! They are perfect just the way they are! You could write a little faster though😁😁 I need more now!💋😘

🌟Star🌟 Rape is a serious issue that is often downplayed or dismissed. It’s good to have real world issues in books that someone can relate to as it can bring strength and encouragement to a survivor or even someone who knows a survivor.

Renate I have to agree. Books can lead people to see the light through the darkness that surrounds them at times where the really bad things that have happened to them seem to be the only thing they see.

While I may be uncomfortable reading the small piece of abuse included in your books, what makes me love them is the support the abusee / victim receives from their partner and friends / family. I love that they are told and reminded that they are boss, they are a rock star, that they are courageous and amazing individuals. I have worked in the social services industry for years and know that people who have been abused need to hear those words and who better than their partner supporting them, standing by them, loving them. Thank you for that in your books. Please do not change a thing!!!

DK Altman I would think the fact that they are tagged paranormal romance would warn you that things will go off the beaten path for good or bad. CF is not the only author in this category to speak of or allude to these kind of things. If you search the web, there are reviews which warn you about it. Perhaps the questioner should seek those before reading the book. Usually in the cases where it is discussed, it is important to understanding why characters act the way they do.
