Wulf Krueger Hey, Michael, can you expand on the "heat" issue? What was the perceived problem? (I'm curious because I can't really find any "fault" there.)

Russ Mitchell I am not surprised that you have been criticized. Honestly, both the fantasy and science fiction genres have catered to the fragile male ego for decades. You're doing a great service to the genre so please keep it up!

Greg Michael, you continue to be one of my favorite authors for this very reason. Frankly, a lot of your peers are a bunch of perverts. I have a daughter and I would never portray a young woman in a book like so many do. Anyways, love all of your work. Keep up the good fight my friend!

Donna Coviello I'm curious about Michael's comment as well. I agree wholeheartedly with Russ. I find far too often that "strong" female characters are typically anything but, and they are almost always really unlikable. Not so with all of the girls and women in this series. They are all unique and wonderful in their own way - all the characters are, really. So I would like to thank Michael as well.
