Based on the small bit of interaction between Sarah St. John and Viscount d'Arque I thought that there will be book about them, and I was eagerly waiting for it. So I can at least attest on the interest in Sarah's story.

katinka, I was beginning to think I was alone in wanting to see Montgomery paired with Alf, lol! You made some valid points and I agree that maybe Hippolyta and Montgomery are too similar in terms of class, wealth and having a mysterious background. I think they both need their own books, with their own hero/heroine who will really challenge them. I feel there is so much potential with Alf and Montgomery. But either way, I can't wait to read more about all these characters.

I agree Katinka, I certainly do not want to see them paired up if Alf is still a minor. But we don't actually know how old Alf is, She might be older than we the readers, or the other characters think.. And as you said, a number of years could pass between books. Also, do we even know how old Val is? I don't think age is an issue, as long as Alf is an adult when "their" story begins. It's fun to speculate but Who knows which direction Elizabeth Hoyt will take. I'm looking forward to finding out.

Another vote for Sarah. Her comment to D'Arque about hoping he didn't start bumping into the furniture after his over the top flattery made me laugh out loud. She has a little of her brother's sense of humour which made Lord of Darkness book my firm favourite. I've been patiently waiting for the Sarah/D'Arque book. Please? Pretty pleaaaaaaaaase?

I recently did a reread of the entire series and yes, yes for Sarah and d'Arque...she is such a good foil for him.

I always hoped that somehow Penelope could be redeemed. You know, make all her vapid and annoying behavior be a farce and for a very good reason--even a less than honourable one. It would be interesting to see if it could be done.

I really like Sarah St John, would love a book on her. Just finished duke of darkness and was thinking about penelope too, I think she should definitely get a redemption, plus I just like reading about Artemis and Wakefield, so If theres a book penelope we could get more of those two !
