Heather-Lin Liesel, it often takes only one good, fun book to rekindle the love and hunger to read. Something I wish I'd tried years ago when I had study/reader fatigue: try-a-chapter challenge. Select a wide assortment of things that sound good, and read the first chapter of one. If it doesn't grab you, try the next book. I usually give audiobooks anywhere from 15 min- 1 hour. You'll find something that you can't wait to continue reading, and you'll be officially cured of your "reading slump"! 🖤

Talli Ruksas Kids who couldn't read were a great puzzlement to me. My parents said I started insisted on reading to them at about age 3 so I have no memories of not being able to read. I had access to school and public libraries and was allowed to buy any books I wanted. But I imagine if I'd had access to a lighted e-reader I probably never would have slept.

Adela Some books to pull you in: The Garth Nix Abhorsen series is fun YA fantasy with magic and zombies. Start with the first one, Sabriel. Try out Bujold's The Warrior's Apprentice, fast-paced and funny sci-fi. When I'm in a rut, I often turn to Agatha Christie mysteries, Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. Enjoy!

pml I tend to reread favorites when in a slump.

Engaging YA:
Stray (Touchstone series) by Andrea K. Höst, often free on Amazon Kindle
Earth Girl series by Janet Edwards
Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey

Great for reading inspiration: What Makes This Book So Great by Jo Walton
