Yeah, the middle of the second series really sagged for me, after the high octane hi-jinks and explosive finale of the first one!

Then I gave it another chance a few months later and it really does improve IMHO. There's something funny/sad/silly/gory in practically every scene, sometimes all of those things ;-)

Joe Gilgun is great in it and he gets a bit more air-time (along with some wonderful new characters like Herr Starr and um... Hitler).
