Brzk So ... the six Penric novellas (up to and including The Prisoner of Limnos) packed as a single volume (668 pages) by a Bulgarian publishing house ... have not been officially sanctioned by you?
(Very emotionally divided here. I do not like piracy when you (Lois) are not the one on the receiving end. The said publishing house is the one which introduced me to your work more than 20 years ago. So, mixed feelings. I know, I am not a moral authority).

Brzk Two small clarifications:
1. I have bought all of the Penric novellas available so far as ebooks. And as audiobooks. And I have also bought the Bulgarian anthology.
2. It is a small market anyways. Most of your fans I know (they seem to be very randomly and widely dispersed in nature) read your works in English. So I assume they've also bought the ebooks. No huge financial loss, I think. Still divided on the principle, though. (I am sorry if my text is not clear, English is a foreign language to me).

Lois Bujold Ah, sorry! The Bulgarian edition is legit. So, no guilt needed for you.

I haven't received author's copies for this edition yet, which serve to help fix such sales in my mind after the contracts disappear into my file drawer. With potentially over 30 titles in over 20 languages, scattered over perhaps several renewals (because foreign contracts have shorter terms of license), it easy to lose track.

Ta, L.
