I started reading the Scholar and ended up stopping to read the Ruin first. I felt like I was missing a ton of back story. You could read them out of order, but way better to start with Ruin, in my opinion.
When will a new book be coming out - I love these books and can't wait for the next one! :)
No way Dervla. Great books, have loved them both. But if you read them out of order you lose all of the background of two of the main characters. Maximise the enjoyment of these books and read them in order :)
I read The Scholar first, and then read the Ruin. I had no issues reading them out if order. Both books are my favourite reads for 2020.
