Thanks for these answers. I don't know how old your son is, but my son is five, and will be going into first grade next year. He had a lot of trouble with paying attention in kindergarten, and it did have me worried. And, it turned out, he needed glasses! It has made a world of difference. People jump to the ADHD conclusion too quickly sometimes, I think.
My son is almost 20 and is now in college. He does very well there. A lot of it has to do with being able to study what HE is interested in as opposed to the standard curriculum.
