So we'll read about 30 pages a day, right? For me it would be fine if we do a mix between 2 and 3 chapters a day :)

Wanted to know how you're doing with the book and if you have any thoughts? It's a little difficult because we don't want to spoil each other I believe.
I am currently at chapter 12 (part 2). There were a few boring pages/chapters till it got back to Anna, Wronski and Alexei. But now I am back with Ljewin again.

There is an adaption from BBC ;)

I am also in ;) have my copy already!

I am not that into Oblonsky. At the beginning of the book was a striking sentence that made me thoughtful in a not so kind way. It was something about that Oblonsky just adapts societys opinion to be save and easy.. to not get in trouble or disagreements. I don't like that kind of attitude of people in general (real life :D). Did anyone else felt the same with Oblonsky? I hope his character will develop over time!
I am now at capture 24 and holy guacamole there is something going on right there! Very flashed about what's happening. Also think that Tolstoi wrote so good transitions to the following captures.. it's so fluent!

I am also interested in a buddy read for north and south :)

Actual position; Part 1, Chapter 15: I will finish this week's section tonight, too. At the moment Ljewin is also most likable to me. The perspective on women in the book caught my interest! Does anyone else feel the same? (I try my best to write in as good English as it's possible for me since I am German. So if you have any understanding problems please tell me.. then I'll try again :D)

There is no character ist in my ebook edition :D Maybe Alyssandra and me really need to write it down. I am also a little unsure how the names are pronounced. I think I will ask a russian friend of mine ;)

Hi :) I am also surprised how easy it is to read.. the names are a little confusing, but I think I get used to it.. soon ;)

I will also join reading Anna Karenina :) I am really excited.. it's my first Tolstoi. Have you guys already read any of Tolstoi's books?
