104767 Hi Darlene:
Glad to meet you :). Your series of novels sounds like a lot of fun--I will have to look into it.

Thanks,
amy

104767 Yes--I actually have more material to add. :) I use my website, in part, as my own reference on things like roses, etc.

I don't really have a favorite genre, although I will say that it is hard for me to write a book that doesn't have some sort of a mystery element and a "comic" element, even if the comic element is just a whacky secondary character. I need those elements to make me excited about writing. I'm working on the second Prudence and Knighton mystery right now and there is a whacky secondary character who is obsessed with mazes and the history of mazes and he keeps following the characters around lecturing them. It's funny--at least to me--and keeps me smiling while I write.

I checked my garden last night and I have some green tomatoes and a zucchini. I need to harvest the zucchini tonight and will sauté it with some onions as a side dish. At least it is quick and easy and fresh.

It's really, REALLY good if you sauté it with mushrooms, at the last minute, add a handful of chopped, fresh basil, then mix it into macaroni-and-cheese. That's one of my favorite dishes and I remember my mom making it for me a few weeks before she died. It makes me feel closer to her to make it now.

Anyway, thanks for the nice welcome. You should be able to use Networked Blogs, but if not, let me know and I'll see if I can fix it. I'll visit your sites, too. It's nice to make friends with fellow authors.

Have a great day!

104767 Hi!
Yes--I have both a blog and a website. :)
My blog is: http://amycorwin.blogspot.com
My website is: http://www.amycorwin.com

It's kind of scary being a fulltime writer now but I'm muddling through. This is the first time in my life when I don't have other people telling me what to do with my time, which is really weird. When I was a child, it was school, camp, etc, then regimented work. For the first time, I don't have to answer to anyone except myself. Double-weird. LOL

104767 Hi!
I'm Amy and I'm so glad to join this group. I tend to read a lot of mysteries of all kinds and Science Fiction. I also read a few romances--my favorite books are the mystery/romance combos like the old Mary Stewart books.

anyway, I'm glad to find others who love to read.

As for me, I'm married but we have no children, and I recently retired from my day job to write full time (and garden and do a ba-zillion other things).

Nice meeting all of you!
