Hi all, Tom Murphy from the Rocky Mountain Rowing Club will join us at our meeting on the 27th and is bringing a boat to show off. Big thanks to Ben for the suggestion. Hope everyone is enjoying the book

I'm loving the Pullman lingo, from here on out I'll be referring to cooks as Lizard Scorchers

Such a fascinating book. Though the author too time in the preface to explain his choice of the the words negro and colored, I cringe every time he uses it. Calling someone a"negrophobe" might have been the term at the time but the more accurate description is racist

How's everyone enjoying the book? Can't believe I'm four chapters in and they haven't left England!

I've had Ewan McGregor's Long Way Down on my To Read list for a long time, I'm guessing it would be easy to find Kindle versions and library downloads for friends who are staying indoors

Though now I'm doing the palm slap to the head for not googling our group name before posting- I added Senna's book to our list though haven't actually ever seen it- rather than a history of racing or book on getting better performance out of your car, is there a quintessential book on being a better/best race driver?
Rusty wrote: "The Last Open Road"Fantastic Rusty, have added to our suggestion list, I know its a sweet story but not sure that I've actually read it

Hi Friends we are looking for your input, please feel free to add your favorite transportation related books to our bookshelf- in the coming weeks we'll look at recommendations for our first few books. Please feel free to start discussions about books even if we aren't reading them right now....gentlemen (and women) start your engines!
