Hey! I just posted a review for Michael Underwood's Celebromancy, and needless to say, I enjoyed it.

One of the things I enjoyed about the novel was how it explored the definition of the urban fantasy genre. Yeah, Ree is a kick-butt sword-wielding gal, but she's also much more.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about Celebromancy (or the first book Geekomancy) and other books that play with the urban fantasy conventions.

I would check out Pat Cadigan, like her book Synners. Early Bruce Sterling. Richard Morgan's Altered Carbon has more than a touch of cyberpunk.
