I'm struggling with the book. I read about 50 pages and more or less gave up. I simply seem to be unable to connect to what the author is saying :/

SCIP takes a good two to three months to read! It's not casual whatsoever. Hackers and Printers is a better alternative :)

John's recommendations seem more sane!
