“My Mother was one of the most powerful witches to ever live. As her child, do you really think I’d live my entire life completely clueless about Hell? Badeux may have been ruled by the church for the most part, but my household was not. Magic, whether it was good or bad, was just part of the air we breathed. It was commonplace. It wasn’t something to be ashamed of, not something to hide unless you were to leave that house. I miss it, sometimes.”

If she were to die, would she be damned to this place? Would all her work, all of her suffering, amount to nothing?
The mere thought of it made her want to take a swim in that stupid lake of fire. Just to get it over with. She just wanted to live a normal life. With a cottage somewhere in the woods, and Bloo, and visits from not-dead parents.
She was just so tired of fighting.

“I just remembered… I’ll have to leave today. For a few weeks. I don’t want to, but.. duty calls. Now, let’s have some fun before I have to go, alright?” He tugged Damian out of the door, smothering him in kisses from his face to his chest. He practically danced with him, pulling him down the stairs and with a wave of his hand licking the door behind him as they left.
“I’ll show you my favorite place in all of Badeux. You’ll love it, I promise.” He hums, slinging an arm around Damian’s waist and leaning his head onto his. His hair fell down his shoulders in loose blue curls, bouncing as he waved at people who gawked at him.

"Good morning. Would you like to go get breakfast? It's on me." He hums, hoping in his foolish heart that Damian would say yes and Val would get to spend more time in his presence. He was so warm, and he smelled like Val. Val would give anything to be able to see Damian in this bed every morning. In his clothes.
(me remembering val is leavjng for a voyage today
maybe after they get breakfast we rp their goodbyes and then timeskip to when val returns?)

Damian hummed a happy, yet soft and soothing tune the enti..."
The sun came up, shimmering against Val’s deep blue hair. He roused before blinking his eyes, relieved to see Damian still sleeping soundly next to him.
He reached over and pushed a white lock of hair off of his face, cupping his pale cheek.
“I really am lucky, aren’t I? How did I land someone like you, Tesoro? What good did I do to be given such a grace? Either way, I’m grateful. All my life I wasted away looking for love to make myself feel good, to feel worth something more than what I was given. But now.. It’s different. Very different. You make me feel.. you make me feel like I could do anything as long as you’re with me. As long as I have you rooting for me. I’ve never felt this way about anyone, and it’s scary, but.. I’m willing to try. For you.”

Then.
A woman: Long sleeves, the kind that hung from your wrists. A long, snake like skirt. An hourglass figure an a mane of silky black hair.
Eleonora.
She danced languidly in circles, gleefully singing a soft tune. She was beautiful, but the extent of her beauty ended there. At face value.
“You.” Ace growled, brandishing her sword and stabbing ferociously at the woman.
But she did not bleed. A sheet of glass cracked, and she along with it. And when the glass fell, nothing lay beyond.
“But Mother, I don’t want to marry him! I am too young to make a child!”
Slap.
“You will do whatever I tell you. Or else I slit your throat. Do we have an understanding, my little supernova?”
“Yes, Mother.”

Something flicked across her vision, and she looked around wildly for the source.
There. Perched on a dying tree. But as soon as she squinted to get a better look, whatever it was fled again.
When Ace fixed her eyes ahead of her again, something was there.
Someone.
A tall, lithe figure stood in front of the women, with a mane of white hair and twitching fox-like ears. His eyes were orange and glinting. He seemed no older than 15 or 16. And suddenly, Acelopina recognized him from her mother’s books.
Greed and Envy.

DO U WANT ME TO INVITE U TO THE OLD GRIUP??
also mal is kinda dead in this
like
dead

It was wrapped around the hilt of her sword, clean and untouched with the power of magic.
All this time, she believed Marcus to be dead.
She missed worrying about feeble matters. She missed getting upset over ridiculous things. She missed coming home every night to dinner and easy banter.
Acelopina Infernalis had grown up as her parent's pride and joy. She was righteous and true, even as a toddler.
And now.. she wasn't sure what she was.
Nothing more than a hollow shell of herself.
"I don't know." She said thickly, swallowing around the lump in her throat. She didn't know anything. She wouldn't be able to save him in time. Because nothing ever went right for her, did it?
She wished, for once, that she was on a stage.
She wished that she could step off, and everything would be okay.
She wished she could become someone else.
Maybe the girl she used to be.

Nothing but skin.
She began to panic. Tears bubbled up to her eyelashes as she swung her sword at the grass, mowing down blades.
A glint of metal. There.
Ace darted for it, snatching up the necklace and breathing a sigh of relief.
She clutched it in her fist and pressed a kiss to the metal, then secured the chain around her neck.
She spoke not a word.

She ended up in a sharp, dark and nearly barren land. Hues of red splashed across her vision.
She practically growled, raking her hand through her curls. At this point, she was ready to hurl herself into what looked like magma.

And then she began down the steps. No words, no glances, she just began walking. Quickly. Her footsteps were light yet powerful, as if she planned to make sure everyone knew she was coming for them.

She started off again, shaking stray curls out of her head and biting her lip to withhold tears.
Would he hate her for this?
Would he be stricken with rage, because she hadn’t helped him that day?

“Ace, really. I don’t think-“ Julian started.
“Shut up! You don’t understand! I’ve lost everything! I have no family, no guidance, nothing!” The flickering was more frequent now, until something moved from beneath the mounds of skirt.
Something came out from beneath her dress and nuzzled against her leg, seeming to calm her.
Bloo.
