Where are you at John?

Also, the book is nearly always so much better than the movie. So I’m not finding knowing how it ends a detraction to reading the book.
This quote was so well place in the movie -
The most difficult thing, but an essential one, is to love life, to love it even when one suffers, because life is all. Life is God, and to love life means to love God.
Tolstoy
War and Peace 1867

*Spoiler*- Did not consider this at first, but studying this family tree graphic could create a spoiler for you.

Any further input on using GoodReads or html is welcome 😃

It is divided up by Books 1 - 15 labeled with years ranging from 1805 - 1820. Each book has chapters.
I’m not sure how to get the comments in the correct location given these differences.
Possibly:
“Volume” = “Book” and
“Parts” = “Chapters”
Can you help with this?

I’m new to GoodReads as of New Year’s Eve 2020. This is wonderful discovery!
War and Peace is of interest, I’m reading epic Classics. My knowledge of this era tho is limited, I wondered if it might be a difficult read without historical background.
Finding this group was a pleasant surprise, perhaps helping to fill the gaps, make this book even more enjoyable and meet new friends 😃👋🏼
