1146282 I've wanted to learn to read the I Ching, but it looks so complex. So when I saw these cards, I knew I had to buy them. Done in a nice cardstock, with a gloss finish, the artwork on these is perfect. It's done in sepia toned Chinese-styled artwork that fits the theme perfectly.
The guide book is just a little hard to follow. The meanings are written mostly in metaphors, with the final line actually giving the clear message. There's only a few lines in each of the 64 card meanings. Which at first disappointed me, but the I looked at the REAL I Ching meanings and they seem to be about the same in length and meaning. So, if you want a an easy way of reading the I Ching, appreciate Chinese artwork, or just want a nice deck, this is for you.

1146282 The cards are an average cardstock with a semi-gloss finish. I find the artwork disappointing. It looks like they were drawn by a comic book artist. It just doesn't work with this deck.
The guidebook is bound with a nice card cardboard. Card meanings are well written and easy to read. Thumbs up for the book, but down for the artwork. It could have been so much better.

1146282 Made of average cardstock, the cards have a nicely gilded edge and are coated in a gloss finish. The artwork is lovely and vivid. Cards and guidebook are the size of regular deck of playing cards, while easy to shuffle, it reduces size of the beautiful artwork as well as makes the guidebook a bit of an eye strain.
The guidebook is bound in a sturdy cardboard. Individual card meanings are shorter than usual, but pretty clear. It comes in an cute, sturdy little box. This deck seldom gets requested when I do readings. The name I think also throws people off as well as the size. I have to give it a reluctant 5, only because my personal tastes and needs would like it to be bigger.

1146282 I ordered these online from a company, I discovered, that sells pirated oracle cards. These cards are gilded on the edges and made of an average cardstock. The artwork on first glance resembles a small child's drawing, but on closer inspection has a professional pop-art style. The guidebook, which was sent to me directly from the nice publisher, has a fairly sturdy cardboard cover. The meanings are about 1 page long each, but pretty clear and concise. Doesn't get picked as often as it should by people requesting a reading.

1146282 I have a love/hate relationship with these. You see, I somehow managed to get a pirated deck (with no book to learn to read them!). Fortunately, the very kind publisher of the REAL deck, sent me a booklet so I could read them. The artwork is very well designed in ancient art and symbolism with a modern touch. The pictures seem a little blurry, but that's probably because of the forgery.
The guidebook, which I was supplied with from the actual publisher, is very well written and easy to read and comprehend. The individual card meanings run 3 pages long each, but is very detailed and informative. I do readings for others, and while I personally enjoy this deck (I have 20 oracle decks), I don't get requests for readings from this deck as frequently as I believe it should. I only gave it a 4 just because there's something about the deck that just doesn't click with me personally. I can't quite pinpoint what it is. Others might find it a 5.

1146282 Let me tell you immediately. If you do readings for others, this is a frequently requested deck. The artwork is pretty with a dull finish, nice cardstock.
The guide book is informative. Each card meaning is given on two pages. The style is very laid back and easy to understand. Yet, I find the way the meanings are written and formatted, I personally find it hard to read aloud.

1146282 I do readings on others and this deck is frequently asked for. The cards are made from good cardstock with a matte finish. Overall, the artwork is good, representing primeval spiritual archetypes of various ancient cultures around the world.
The guidebook is well written for the most-part. Some of the card meanings seem to talk more about the archetype on the card than on the relevance to the card whom it's drawn for. Trying to read the meanings aloud is sometimes awkward and difficult due to the writing style.
