1170985 Happy (almost) New Year everyone!! :)

I thought it might be fun to chat about our most anticipated 2024 releases! I have quite a few, but I'm always looking to expand my TBR! Some of mine are:
- The Getaway List by Emma Lord (YA) and The Break-Up Pact by Emma Lord
- Stay With My Heart by Tashie Bhuiyan (YA)
- Match Me If You Can by Swati Hedge (Highly Anticipated Debut!)
- Wild About You by Kaitlyn Hill (YA)

What are some of the rom coms you're looking forward to reading in 2024?

1170985 Thank you!! I’ve read Practice Makes Perfect and loved it so I’ll have to check out the others!

1170985 Hi everyone! I'm looking for romances that feature a main character with anxiety. Both YA and Adult is welcome! A few I've read:
A Brush With Love by Mazey Eddings
Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert
One Way or Another & This Might Get Awkward by Kara McDowell

TIA!
1170985 I really loved The Name Drop by Susan Lee and that gave me similar vibes to Better Than the Movies! I’m currently reading A Show for Two by Tashie Bhuiyan and that’s super cute too!

1170985 Hi everyone! Today I was thinking about the declaration of love scene at the end of romance books and since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, I was wondering what your favorite scene is and what book it’s from :)

1170985 I ended up sick over the past month and didn’t get a chance to finish before my copy was due back at the library. I DNF’ed it though, because it was so confusing and boring I couldn’t handle it with what little attention span I had.

I’m sorry this book wasn’t great. It was one of my most anticipated reads, but it truly fell flat.

1170985 I think she’s written accurately. A lot of her thoughts, feelings, and worries make sense for her age. I’m not sure if I missed it, but I am wondering why she’s not looking for a job, but I’m sure that plays into the plot somehow. What do you think of her so far?

1170985 I feel the same way, Anna! This story is starting off quite slowly. I’m not sure if it’s the writing style of the character, but something is making it feel like I’ve read all these pages and only a few of them were essential to the plot. I have to admit, I have had high hopes for this book and have been looking forward to reading it for a long time, but now I’m just not sure. I guess we shall see as we continue on.

I’ve been wanting to read a book with a main character in their early 20s for a while now, so it’s refreshing to read a character with similar struggles to what I went through.

I’m still holding onto hope that this book will pick up and be worthwhile!

1170985 Yes I was thinking 5 a week! Awesome!! I’ll post my thoughts this Friday evening or Saturday!

1170985 What about starting this weekend? We could read five chapters (opinions on this welcome!) each week until we finish the book.

1170985 Anybody interested in The Donut Trap by Julie Tieu? The Kindle ebook is on sale currently if anyone’s interested in that!

Welcome to the group Kimberly! I have yet to read The Hating Game though I have started it a couple of times. I'm not sure I had trouble getting in to it -- maybe it's the writing style like Jen mentioned -- but I saw the trailer for the movie and it looks great so I'll have to read it quickly!

1170985 Hi everyone!

We're (somehow) only 30 days away from 2022 so I thought this would be the perfect time to talk about 2022 releases we're looking forward to! If you read YA Rom-Coms, I'd love to hear those, too!

I hope everyone has a great December!! :)

I haven't heard of that one! I'll have to add that to my TBR for after Christmas! Oh man, I didn't know The Holiday Swap was going to be in BOTM! I would've gotten a box this month. No wonder I can't find the book anywhere except on Kindle... It's sold out at all the stores around me!
