Finished #10
How the Light Gets In by
Louise Penny. This is the best book I have read in this series. I really enjoyed the plot and revisiting everyone in Three Pines. Unfortunately, I do not always read the books in order so I wasn't real clear on what went on in the one before this one --but it did not deter from my enjoyment.

Finished #9.
Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness by
Susannah Cahalan. I rated it 4*--almost a 5. It was like a fascinating episode of House except it was true. The author recounts her bout with an autoimmune disease that was attacking her brain causing her to appear psychotic. Thanks to relentless doctors they were able to determine the cause and provide treatment that would bring her back.

Finished 3 more. YAY!!
Caleb's Crossing--another great book by one of my favorite historical fiction authors --
Geraldine Brooks. This one tells the story of the first native American to attend Harvard
What the Dead Know A good mystery but I couldn't really connect with the characters. I gave it ***
The Thirteenth Tale I know that a lot of people really liked this book -- I thought it was good...but not great. Reading two books In a row that both had a set of twins as the main characters--with a similar twisting of identities did not help my enjoyment factor. On to the next book !

Its been awhile but I got another state
Oregon
Home Again by
Kristin Hannah

5 STARS
Book
Catching up on my Goodreads -- this sounds amazing -- added to the TBR. Your reviews are informative and fun to read!
This book is in the running for B..."

3 more books completed...
Murder on the Orient Express -- I finally read it. What a classic !
Home Again. --Not Kristin Hannah's best effort. I gave it 3 stars-- good character development but nowhere near engaging as some of her other works
In a Dark, Dark Wood--really good read -- compares to Gone Girl -- I highly recommend.
On to the next woman author --
Geraldine Brooks0ne of my favorites so I hope to enjoy
Caleb's Crossing

Finished my first two books of the challenge--
Consequences and
The Husband's Secret.
Consequences was a beautifully written historical novel but I never became engaged with the characters and the book did not always hold my interest.
The Husband's Secret was a easy read and I enjoyed the story -- at times it was hard to keep up with all of the characters....it did remind me a lot of
Big Little Lies--are all her books the same formula ?

I'm in for 5
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

I did enjoy it and hopefully you do too!

I am looking forward to this challenge--glad to see that you enjoyed so many of them.

Your list looks great. I love Geraldine Brooks..abnd I have not read that one. I have
Caleb's Crossing on my list this year. I will be watching to see how your year goes.

I've read There There and Say Nothing... both excellent books. Many of your others are already on my TBR-- I will be watching to see what you think.

I will watch for your thoughts on these as I have not read any of them. Happy reading in 25

Always interesting lists... Rosie is the only one that I have read but several are on my TBR (including Wolf Hall--looks like I might put that off for awhile..). I will be watching--happy reading

so many series....so little time...The only one on your list that I have read is City of Mirrors...and it finished a series...YAY..something I seldom achieved. Good luck with your list.

Always good to keep NF in the mix -- you learn so much!
