This is the thread for the September "Commit to one book monthly" challenge. In this thread, post one book you intend to read for September, so that everyone else can see your pick. When you finish reading it, we'd love for you to come back and post your opinion.
Yay! Kids are back in school!!! LOL

I hope you have fun watching! Woot!

That is my dream job; but thats a long way away from healthcare. LOL. Thats awesome that you all did that for that customer.
I really want to try a western. I actually enjoy military style books; so, I think I may like westerns too. Maybe??

So glad you enjoyed Wolf Hall and are going to continue. For me, the books got better, once I realized what I was ..."
If they are anything like the first; then I think it will be worth every page. Thanks Lea

The situation was so messed up; so, I definitely enjoyed it! LOL

It is just well-written and the pacing was not too bad once it got going. :)

Definitely going to read the 2nd one. Long books, but very good.

I've had this book on my TBR for-EVER! I even grabbed a copy. I need to get it together and just read the thing.

Glad you're getting back to Murderbot. I really love this series. The tv series I'm not so sure about. They put a male actor there, and I feel like they should have kept that secret or put a more androgynous actor in that spot. I may check it out.

Yeah, before he passed, he was a library fiend. He drove those ladies nuts. Amazingly, he loved Westerns, and would reread those books endlessly.
I hate that your dad can't read anymore, and I am sure he hates it too. Reading is another universe we get to enjoy.

No. Haven't read the books yet; so, I won't watch any until I do.
I am watching Alien: Earth; which has turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I love it.
Also watching The Institute, which is okay. The acting is subpar, and stiff; which is not what this book is. It really takes someone special to pull off Stephen King. I am hoping Welcome to Derry is better.
Also watched The Sandman, Silo, and FROM. All of which, are excellent.

The thing I like about Dublin Murder squad, is that you can leave the series and not be lost. I think because we do focus on just one detective, that keeps things current and maybe allows us to read out of order.
For Miss Peregrines, I will be going to book 3, I think.

Thanks for the congratulations! I'm hoping to read the last two books as well - one of which is a Stephen King book that you loved and recommended. I'm still super excited about my last two.."
Okay, let me look thru some reviews.
I really enjoyed You Like it Darker. Some are more weird, then it gets to the end of the story, and it becomes unsettling. I think one was Willie the Weirdo?? Ugh. Great story because it went totally left.

Yay! So glad you love it! The series is pretty consistent. No duds, but a little lag with the full length novel; but still good.

Now, THAT, is a good idea.

Always fun, light and entertaining. Quick reads too!

The author seems excited about it; so, I am hoping they treat it with the care that it deserves.

I have about 9 or 10 of his books. My dad just kept picking them up at sales; and gave them to me. So, now I feel like I need to read the series. Even though most of the books are out of order; my dad was just grabbing stuff. I do have books 1 & 2. My son enjoyed them, so, I am hoping to read those soon.... like maybe next year, or so.... 😬
