I think I soiled my brain with thrillers, because this was not something I would usually pick up but I'm so glad I picked it for this month because I really enjoyed it!
I wasn't a fan of the mother period. I understand the kids had a great life growing up and all but I feel like she was being super selfish and kind of mean to Georgia. Like she should have taken her side more. I kept waiting for one of her family members to be like, no. Ben is a shit head. I cant believe he did that to you.... But in the long run I guess her mom was supposed to act as that kind of conscious in the back of Georgia's mind, like the angel and devil on her daughter's shoulder?
Still a great book though!

I actually just finished it, and you're right, this isnt something I'd normally read but I oddly found myself enjoying it. Except Ben, Ben was a dingus. LOL

Paul is one of the least reliable narrators! It bothers me to no end that he kept saying he wouldn't/couldn't tell us things. Like the name of the restaurant, Claire's illness, his own mental illness. It almost felt lazy on the author's part. But then maybe it's to really nail in Paul's unreliability as a narrator. I don't know but I do know it was annoying! lol

Yes this was my first time! I had such high hopes reading the summary and reviews, but still struggled the past few chapters realizing that no one was redeemable.

Staff has chosen a book for each month. Each chosen title is loosely themed around "brews." We will use this space to discuss the book before our in person meet up on the 4th Saturday of the month at The Leander Beer Market.
Here we can ask questions, give thoughts and discuss anything about this work as we head towards the end of the month. I will randomly post prompts to help us along our way but encourage anyone to post new topics they might come up with.
A Final Thoughts discussion will take place upon completion of the book towards the end of the month. If you don't want to read the book or don't finish it, you can still access Final Thoughts, just be aware that there will be spoilers in that thread.
