Who is up for keeping our little book club going for 2020?

Finished The Pearl by John Steinbeck and found my copy of East of Eden by the same author. I bought this book years ago when Oprah had it as her bookclub pick. Time to tackle it 10-20 pages at a time for classics month.

I am going to start next month with Animal Farm. Mainly because it has been on my shelf forever. And it is short. I'm not sure I will like it, but perfect timing.

This is the first time I really am focusing on the Genre of the Month.. This month I read The Girl on the Train. I am also enjoying The Reckening by John Grisham. I am still trying to figure out if it is a thriller. haha.

Well I picked The Reckoning by John Grisham. It came up as a thriller. We will see. Has anybody read it?

I decided to read First a book about Sandra Day O'Connor. Although I misread the fiction part. Enjoying it so far.

I have chosen The Nightingale as my book for this month.

I have read The Power of Habits.. as I am trying to make some changes.
Rosemarie wrote: "That is why I enjoyed these books when I was a little girl. I remember getting the first book out of our little local library and loving it."Me too and might do the same now, since I am sure they are there. My friend and I had a competition on who could read them the fastest. Now I will enjoy every word :)

I would like to get in on this buddy read. How far into the series are you? I loved these books as a little girl and received a book about the author that I never read and hopefully still have. But would like to read that after the series.
Are you doing one book a month still?

Read a romantic Comedy called Five Minutes Late by Rich Amooi. This was a cute little book. Simple and perfect for this month of Romance. :)

I read a book called Flirting with Felicity. It is a cute romance that I started last year and went back to it to finish this year. It is a cute book of romance..Just happy to have finish it.
Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action I read this book for the New Beginnings Theme. As I am working towards some goals this year, this book is great place to start by determining your WHY. I have personally spent my 30 year career in nursing helping others. This book has helped me to focus on my WHY. Most leaders have a distinct WHY. Followers are the What people and do what the WHY people say. I am working on my WHY to be about ME. I have mastered it being about others.

Hi I live in PA and really love the idea of a Monthly Theme. I loved to read and have set some goals this year to get back on track.

how about a book that fills your heart with joy
