I'm currently reading The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein which is 466 pages long and not an easy read by any standards but I am finding it very interesting. It's about "disaster capitalism" and the belief that the Western governments influence world politics in order to create opportunities for the super rich to get richer and don't give a damn about the ordinary people just trying to keep a roof over their head and feed their families. It's quite frightening really but I think it's worth reading. To be fair I will be glad when I've finished it and can read something a little easier. I'm on page 281.

Hello to everyone. I have loved reading for as long as I can remember and could often be found with my head in a book when I was young. I enjoy all sorts of books and just wish there were more hours in a day as being a working mother to six and grandmother to two doesn't leave me as much time spare as I would like. I also enjoy crocheting, cross stitching, cooking and listening to music.
