118012 Or in a more permanent location, if you don't want it to be tied to a year.

118012 That's a good idea. Another idea would be to set up a Bookopoly thread somewhere in the 2021 folder so it's easy to ask others who are also playing.

118012 The personal challenges folder is where you can start your own thread to help keep track of all of your reading goals. This is your personal record, so you can collect any goals or challenges, including any from outside this group.

If you're not sure how this might look, you can check out other members' topics for ideas. Many people use this as a place to link to all of the challenges they've joined so they're easier to find and update.

To create your personal challenge tracker, click on the "new topic" link at the top of the personal challenges folder. You'll want to include your name in the topic title.

Good luck with your goals, and most of all, happy reading!

118012 The moderators have been discussing how 2021 will look for this group, as we're all feeling like maintaining so many challenges has become insupportable over the past year. We have decided to go back to basics.

We will not be continuing with the mini and maxi challenges in 2021, although you are free to copy & paste the templates from the archive into your personal thread if you wish to use it in the coming year.

We will continue:

1. A personal thread folder where you can keep track of your reading goals.

2. The "number of books read" challenge, to encourage each other on meeting annual Goodreads challenge goals.

3. The monthly genre challenge.

Oh no! You can always forfeit and have someone pick a book for you. If you can't get through a book for that long, maybe you've tried hard enough!

Hi Nan! All of the folders are under the "Discussions" link at the top of the group page. The personal thread folder is here: 2020 Personal Threads. You should be able to start a new discussion within that folder. Let us know if you get stuck!
