PERSONALITY:
Danielle, or Dani as most of her friends call her, is best described as a perfectionist. She doesn't accept anything less than perfect from herself and is hard-pressed to make sure everything she does is up to par. Along with that, she has quite a few leadership traits. She takes initiative in high tension moments and is incredibly loyal to the things she stands for, as well as for those she cares about.
However, despite these qualities, she's also stubborn to the core, sometimes overly so. Because she expects so much of herself, it can sometimes be hard for her to admit that she's wrong or when something truly scares her. She likes to be a rock for other people and someone to be admired, but it's hard when she can't be that for herself - not fully.
HISTORY:
Dani has always wanted to travel the world. As a kid, she often imagined accompanying her journalist father on his many adventures, and the times that Dani had been able to were some of her most cherished moments. Of course, as an elementary school student, she couldn't come with him on every journey. Often times, she was left at home with her mother, waiting for her father to return with all his stories in tow.
There was one trip, though, that her dad didn't come back from. He had been diving off the coast of southern Australia; the waters below were much more harsh than anyone projected. They said he drowned, unable to keep up with the tide. Dani was ten years old at the time, and though she wasn't with her father at the time, his death hit her hard. She developed a fear of the ocean, brought on by dreams of her father sinking into the sea. She didn't seem to smile as much and had a hard time with school.
It wasn't until around high school that Dani seemed to move on. Her grades picked up again; she started running for the track team, which seemed to take her mind off of things. But her father was always still in the back of her mind. She still felt the urge to travel the world, and she picked up journalism, loving every moment of it. Since then, she's declared an emphasis in journalism and is on her way to study-abroad in America. Or, well... she was.
