The City We Because is on of my favorite books. Trying to be patient while waiting for the sequal.

● A Visitation of Spirits by Randall Kenan for Uni.
● The Tempest for a uni research paper.
● Self Made Boys (don't know authors name but it's a trans retelling of The Great Gatsby)

Hope someone will get excited over the October pick with me since it's a new release.
Stephan King - Fairy Tale.

Yes, it's gay. He was gay. Rumor is he modeled Johnathan a bit sheet himself.

That's pretty cool.
What has your experience been reading it this way?

This month I am going to go all English major with a book on my uni reading list since it's the first book I have to read.
Dracula by Bram Stoker.
Bet you guys thought it was gonna be something weird....

I am putting together a reading guide for Black Sun and Fevered Star because I know it will help at least one person who has a hard time with high fantasy.
What kind of things do people want in a reading guide?

I love this book. I picked up the sequel today. I'm annoyed that the next book isn't coming out until next year. I don't wanna wait.

Wait...book comfort zones? Is that really a thing? LMAO! Seriously, there is nothing I won't read.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...I had a hard time picking between this and Darling Girl. For someone who thought a book club was a good idea I have a hard time with picking books for it XD. Anyway, the sequel to this, Fevered Sun, just came out, so here we are.

I've actually finished it. It made me cry.

Ing, how do you think eclecticism fits in with culture? I mean, we know how culture/society is reflected and mirrored in literature, but where does eclecticism fit in with it?
Shadow Rose is my pick. It is a fantasy novel by an indie author and is currently available through Kindle Unlimited.
Please mark any spoilers.

I kid, but linguistics kicked my ass. I have my BA in English with a concentration in creative writing (I actually did the work for both literature and creative writing concentrations because I'm weird like that). I'm going to get my MA in Literature with a concentration in cultural studies.
Brandon wrote: "hi idk much about anny of this but my name's Brandon and I love collecting books and reading :)"Brandon, that is all that is required :) Welcome.

Hey everyone. I'm Georga, the other mod. I've known Tyler forever now. I just graduated university earning my BLS (Bachelors of Liberal Studies) in English with a concentration in creative writing. I an going to grad school in the fall becuase I didn't get enough abuse the first time. I am going to be majoring in English literature with a concentration in cultutal studies. Uni has warped my view a bit. I really notice how our own society is reflected in books.
As Tyler said in the group description, I'm a sci-fi nerd. I even took two science fiction literature classes at uni. I will read anything though.
I maintain a literary blog, hang out on instagram, and try to remember to keep my Goodreads updated. I'm disabled/chronical ill and identify as a human being. Human is a gender, right?
