Ok…I’m a bad facilitator!!!! I’m going to keep it real with you guys—I have not finished the book yet. I’ve literally avoided goodreads for days because I didn’t want to admit it!! I’m in grad school right now and these assignments are literally kicking my ass.

Please forgive me!!!

In other news, while I finish reading and get those discussion questions ready, I want to pick our November books for those who actually finished reading on time 🙃.

For November, I was thinking Christmasy/ holiday-ish romance vibes?? Not at all married to that idea and I don’t have any particular books picked yet but I know I have a bunch in my TBR goodreads shelf.

If you like, please suggest a genre and a few books for said genre and I will get a poll going hopefully by the start of next week so that we can vote!!

Hi everyone!! My apologies for the delay—life got crazy busy all of a sudden! 🫠

So…….as I wrote in my original post, the plan was to take a poll to vote on Octobers book. However, nearly everyone suggested the same book, which makes this so much easier! I’m excited to announce that our October book is going to be: Daisy Darker !!!! 🌼🌌

Run to your local library (or bookstore (or wherever you get your books!)) and pick up your copy before the last Friday of October, as that will be the day of our book club “meeting”! One last thing to note— I will begin a new topic thread on that Friday with some questions for us to respond to, so be on the lookout for that notification!

Welcome, everyone!! I can't believe how many members we already have!!!!

I'm Meg, the group host, and I'm so looking forward to getting to know you all.

As September is nearing its end, this seems like the perfect time to start suggesting books for October! I'm going to write a few of my own suggestions to get things started. I will leave the conversation open for about a week. By next Saturday, I will have a poll going for the official vote on the top requested books! This should give everyone enough time to vote and then acquire the book IRL or online before October 1!

So...please 1) introduce yourself and what kind of books you like to read, and 2) suggest a few books for October!

My suggestions for October are either spooky-season themed or You've Got Mail themed:

- The Attic Child
- Babel, or the necessity of Violence (R.F. Kuang)
- Some of it was real (Nan Fischer)
- Other Birds (Sarah Addison Allen)
- The Lost Ticket (Freya Sampson)
- Daisy Darker (Alice Feeney)
