Love the idea Courtney. I'm going to recommend The Dividing Line by Victoria H. Smith AND the ebook is free right now on Amazon!! She has a lot of good stuff so if you like NA go check her out. Plus who doesn't want s free book. ;)

G.G., I agree. It is very much in my heart and I was pretty much set on finishing just wanted you alls opinion about genres/fads.
Shannon, I love dystopian novels and follow many series now. What I had seen from the publishing aspect most publishers won't give them the time of day now *sigh*. Like vampire books for example. If it's good I read it. Matter of fact I recently started the Black Dagger Brotherhood and enjoyed it.
Courtney, I agree. Thank you for your insight. And I'd love that I'll keep you updated and do the same if you'd like.

Now here's my question... It is NOTHING like the hunger games. lol. The main character is female and around the same age but it has nothing to do with the depletion of natural resources. It takes place in the far future and is set in what used to be America but I'm thinking about making the location purely fictional so it can be more fantasy.
Do you guys honestly think I'm wasting my time based on genre only?

My name is Andrea Davis. I'm 22. Recently married. Mother of 1. Avid reader. Book lover.
I am really into writing fantasy, historical fiction, and contemporary NA.
I am currently working on my first novel. It is a dystopian YA novel. I anticipate it to be done by summer this year.
I would love to network, receive and give advice here. I've been on goodreads before but never active and social. I have remade my page and doing it right this time.
