Just finished Dodger by Terry Prachett. Great for fans of historical fiction, humor, English history, and Charles Dickens.

Thanks so much for taking on enlivening this group for us, Colette! I'm Jane Lofton, the teacher librarian at Mira Costa HS in Manhattan Beach. We are blessed with being in a gorgeous location near the beach (of course) with wonderfully mild climate. We have about 2,400 students in our school. I love my job, sharing great books, and research, information literacy, digital citizenship, and technology skills with my community. I also love our monthly #SWVBC hangouts!

Thanks so much for bringing this Goodreads group to life, Collette! Let's all join in and use it for active discussions.

I'll pick this up! I loved Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater. It's part of her Wolves of Mercy Falls series, but also stands alone. And, it's set in Los Angeles. (Now the next person needs to say a book title that starts with "R.")

Calling all high school book clubs! Please join the #SWVBC this year! First discussion is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green at 3:30 PT/6:30 ET on September 17 via Google+ Hangouts. Check this blog posting for details and future meeting info:
