I think it's safe to say that we all find certain vowels in spelling challenges to be more difficult than other letters so this challenge is designed to help out with those pesky vowels.
You will choose one of the following options for each vowel's rung on the ladder (A - E - I - O - U - optional Y) , but each book for that particular vowel must stay consistent for your choice throughout the challenge.
Author First or Last Initial
First Letter of Title (Ignore A, An or The)
You will also need to choose a random number from 5-50 which will determine how many of each you will need to complete each rung of the Vowel Ladder.

The Monthly Word Search challenge series is back! The November 2023 word search has been posted: November 2023 Word Search

November 1, 2023 - November 30, 2023
Monthly Word Search challenges are back!!

This month's word search is inspired by The Nightingale, written by our featured author this month, Kristin Hannah. EDIT 10/30/2023: I just realized that this book was used previously to inspire a Monthly Word Searchback in April 2016 but I'm going to let it stand since I picked out a completely different list of words.
Important Rule: You CANNOT use this book when looking for the words. That would be too easy!!
Below is the list of words to find. They can only be found within the text of the book - no covers, titles or authors, please. For each word that you find, provide the book title, page or location and the sentence containing the word. You can use one book to find all of the words or as many books as you'd like.
Optional Words: You can choose to look for them, or leave them off your list - it's up to you.
**If you don't find all of the words this month, you are welcome to carry them over to next month's search challenge.**
Words:
Chaos
Concentration
Crooked
Entrance
Exhausted
Fireplace
Military
Motorcycle
Peacock
Postcard
Shallow
Sidewalk
Slick
Temper
Velvet
Optional Words
Cabbage
Fountain
Gurgle
Jasmine
Willow
