How many of you would drive to Bloomington to celebrate the 100th birthday of beat-generation author William S. Burroughs?

The five-day festival will feature a number of events on the Indiana University campus and in the Bloomington community, including:

+An exhibition of Burroughs' original work
+A display of the original scroll of Kerouac's "On the Road," including manuscripts and correspondence from The Burroughs Archive at Ohio State Columbus.
+William S. Burroughs Birthday Celebration
+Live musical performances by Mark Hosler, Lydia Lunch, Tyler Damon, Thee Tsunamis, and Davis Schneiderman.
+A Burroughs' film series (showing all of Burroughs' documentaries and starring roles).
+A multi-media opera of Burroughs' "The Ticket That Exploded."
+And a closing night costume ball.
