1228726 ugh, haven't checked in in a while (without my PC it's really confusing being in the group side of Goodreads) but I've been following with all Maas's books, I was ahead of schedule months ago but then stopped at the beginning of book 4 for a huge fantasy slump (i was momentarily only interested in the romance side of the series and it was not good of me to just waste such a good series). now I'm thinking of going back on track with you guys!

This one was amazingly good, the best one yet... when are you going to read Queen of Shadows?
1228726 this one just broke me.
1228726 I'm on the verge of rewatching too... maybe after seeing the first seasons for the 10th time I'll actually be able to complete the last one XD

About the ACOTAR TV show: I hoped to see at least the casting, but apparently there's nothing ç_ç
1228726 Ehm... I know I was behind schedule last week but I got so much into the story that now I'm one book ahead lol. But I had to know how the story continued.
This was so engaging, so beautiful. This book #2 was definitely my favourite because it's filled with Rhys and Freya's love story while later it will be me and war and politics, but still I loved it all. And all the secondary characters as well ❤️‍ I just know I will be rereading this sooner than later, perhaps slower so to savour it better.

YEEEES! we still didn't know anything about Rhys but I just pictured Damon on that very first encounter with Elena in the middle of the street and I was immediately sold XD
1228726 I was already leaning towards Rhys from... his very first appearance lol
but I cared for Tamlin a lot and was so disappointed to see him act that way!
1228726 I'm just a few chapters in and I agree. It's disappointing because Tamlin knows she needs freedom, needs to be seen as an equal, not a girly girl who can just spend her MONTHS talking about dresses and flowers. Also it's really sad how they love each other but are not capable of being there at night to console the other after the nightmares, so they keep ignoring everything that's happened.
Still waiting for Rhys to appear......
1228726 Ok, I'm finally here with you guys, I finished #1 last night and I'm already reading book #2! Even if I'm late to the discussion I had to join... it's been A WHILE since ACOTAR entered my radar and I needed the push to begin this new journey. And I loved it so much ❤️

About Tamlin... I began the book really loving him because he's a carer and he was so careful and patient with Fayre... but in the second half I really lost interest. I still care for him as a character, but the fangirl in me has other plans XD
I can't not do my classic comparison for love triangles with Damon and Stefan from the vampire diaries and.... I've always been team Damon from episode 1... it's in my blood.

@kayla you probably just unlocked a future obsession of mine... when will it come out?
1228726 Finally beginning this! I have high hopes 🫶
Read the first 2 chapters and I just have to say her family is so ungrateful... They don't deserve her.
1228726 I was looking again at the 2 fantasy picks of the group because I remembered wanting to read both, and I just noticed book #2 in this series has not been published yet! Will you continue the read here? I was thinking about postponing this till May, so I won't be left hanging XD
1228726 Almost a month late, but I did it!
I picked the book up in the last days of January, enjoyed the first 10% with the funny and unusual introduction of Linus, then it sloooooooowed SO MUCH. The chapters in which he went to the bosses, then transferred and got to know the kids were a bit hard to go by because it was 100% description and 0% content. But I still decided to continue, albeit slowly because I noticed people either dnf or loved it in the reviews. There wasn't a single person who reached the end and didn't like it.
In fact, the second half was way better, sweet, funny, thoughtful.
This book brings a little ray of hope into your life, which is much appreciated -we always need it.
I ended up giving 4+ stars ♥
Now I'm waiting until next week to finally get my hands on the February fantasy choices, I want to read both, and I'll probably be (once again) last to join and last to finish XD
1228726 I finally managed to put my hands on the book! I think I'll finish this out of date, because it seems to me like this is a slow-read kind of book. (Also it's a busy time for me).
My first impression is that I love the main character, he's an odd man, but in a good way. And the children in chapter 1 were cute.
1228726 how is this reading going? I intend to read this book in a week or so, but the more I wait the more I see contrasting opinions. it's becoming really confusing XD

1228726 Hi there! thank you for inviting me into this group. I'm Martina, 30, from an Italian island. I'm still studying in university, looking for a job. This year I've expanded my love for reading. I've always felt guilty reading a lot for myself but not for my studies, then I've finally realised that we all waste time doing 100 things, so why not enjoying a good read while you're at it?
Against all odds I almost doubled my goal of 50 books this past year!
I love reading different things, but 80% of the time I just want to escape life, meaning I need a chill romance of some type. I love fantasy romance, historical romance, retelling romance... this year I've also discovered some dark romance and reverse harem *insert exploding head*
I admit "important life-changing books" are what I would ideally want to read more, but sometimes I don't want to think too much about life, so I limit the fiction and put the gas on the other-worldly stories.
I found a love for mangas in my mid-20s, also determined to tick off classics from my must-read list every other month.

Other things I like: floating on the sea, the sun, the rain, sipping tea, coffee, walking with nowhere to go, ice-cream, tv-series, yoga at home, languages, the sensation of finding a perfect reading spot.

I'm excited to be in a book club, it's a first for me! I entered different groups this year when I decided to be active on Goodreads, but they are mostly chaos.. that's why I've just taken part a couple of times at buddy reads (also: the mobile app doesn't help). Hope to be active in here and make good book talk with you all ❤️
