1228726 I’ve read this already, but I think about this series every day honestly. I always heard people say “the first book is so boring, but the series is great”. I have to disagree, because this hooked me right away!
1228726 Forgot to add in to the discussion but I did finish the book! I’ve been intrigued by it for awhile so this gave me the final push to read it.

I’m finding that “cozy” fantasies are not typically my favorite. That said, I did end up enjoying this! The level of whimsical was not like anything I’ve read before, I could really vividly picture the landscape and characters, and I love when that happens. My goodness these children were the star of the show, I absolutely adored them. The first 25% was hard for me to get through, I felt like I was reading a children’s book, but it did pick up for me after that. I wish that Linus and Arthur had more chemistry :/ Overall I gave it a 3.5 ⭐️

1228726 I’ve been intrigued by The House in the Cerulean Sea for awhile and this is just the push I need to finally read it!

1228726 Hi everyone! My name is Cassidy and I live in Northern California. I was an avid reader as a kid/teen and dropped off when I was in college. This past year I joined a local book club to meet some new friends in the area and it has really re-sparked my love for reading. I had a goal to read 15 books and am at 40 right now so I'm really proud of myself!

I'm new to Goodreads but I've been using Storygraph for the past year to review books. I really love it, but it's missing the community aspect. I've also been trying to read more ARCs and a lot of authors and publishers are preferential towards goodreads activity. I'm open to all genres- but I really gravitate towards fiction (kissing and killing lol). Some of my favorite genres are fantasy, romance, and thrillers/mystery. One of my favorite reads of the year was the ACOTAR series.

Other than reading a little about me- I travel a lot for work (is it just me or can you read a lot faster on planes? 🤔) I love to travel (just spent my birthday in Italy this year!). I love animals (I have a cat and dog and even do petsitting as a side-hustle, the most unusual pet I've watched was a tarantula 😅). I also love music and going to live shows.

Happy to be here and nice to meet you all :)
