While Truman Capotes writing was fluid and easy to read, the middle chuck of this book seemed to drag on a little longer than I enjoyed. To add to this, after spending over 100 pages of moderately interesting details, we get a very rushed explanation of the killing that we have waited for since we started. However, the last 100 pages were very interesting as Capote discusses the trial and verdict of the court. It was cool to see the psychological side of our characters and the aftermath of a devastating murder. I think this is a good book to read once, and maybe come back to a few pages, but the book as a whole kind of lacks in excitement for the majority of it.
