1251291 I will need some mods dedicated to this book series to help me run and keep up with this group as it grows.

You will need to be personable, kind, and generous.

We'll start with a couple to begin and then go from there based on group growth.

1251291 So for some of my thoughts on the first full book in the series, Of Blood and Fire:

I have an appreciation for his easy-to-read prose. The way he describes his battles, when they're in the figurative "trenches" and sometimes a great payoff, but I wouldn't say he shies away from killing off characters on a dime. It's more measured, with perhaps a little plot armor in places here and there.

The Proving at the time felt like such an enormous deal, but looking back it was really insignificant, more like something those crazy glade-goers do lol

I knew early on that Rist was going to be different because he did leave some breadcrumbs around to follow if you noticed it, but the direction Ella went I did not expect.

I'll post more later. Just some thoughts I had reflecting back on Of Blood and Fire.

1251291 So my name is Nick. I'm from Texas and I have really been enjoying this series, in the way I knew it would fill my life for awhile when you come across any great story that leaves an indelible mark on your life.

So I also do amateur radio as a hobby. I'm a retired veteran and I do a lot of reading. I've enjoyed series like Adrian Tchaikovsky's Final Architecture series, and Cixin Lui's Three Body Problem book series. I dabble in fantasy and sci-fi, but for the most part, I tend to stay on the fantasy side.

So that's a bit about me to get us rolling. Feel free to jump in and introduce yourselves and let's talk with others and hopefully create a little more buzz for a great series of books we have here.
