Mona’s comments from the ~UNCENSORED PAGES~ group.

This happens because people not happy with it report it to Amazon instead of leaving bad reviews. Enough reports get their attention, and they remove it, usually not even investigating deeper (and never contacting the author beforehand, always after). So it's not about either readers like it or not.

As this is a taboo topic, it always had a potential to be banned, even though there are plenty of similar books still available. They are not consistent. Sometimes a book can be on Amazon for years, and then end up blocked for some reason (never explained - they always refer to their vague rules that never explain the actual reason the book was blocked.)

So yeah, it's unfortunate. The worst is inconsistency and lack of transparency in the process.

😅😅😅 Yeah, this one is wild. As one commenter said, it's a book for those who want to "take a dive into the deep end of the depraved pool".

If you liked the format, then Pleasure Peak is the one to read - it takes place in the same location, and it also has 3 "assignments".

Yes. There also lists of Trigger Warnings and Tropes in many books, especially romance and erotica. It's easy to filter what you don't wanna read. And if the TWs are not there, and the book has taboo subjects - people will complain in the comments.

BTW, just to note, censorship is heavy only in the US market, the others are not as sensitive (or not at all, like the German market on Zon). Zon censors US more heavily because of the cultural stuff and attitudes, and for fear of people being outraged. So it's not Zon's attitude as a company, not their moral stance, but their accommodation to the culture of the specific market. European markets are much more chill :)

Book and other vendors fall on different types of rules and reviewers on Amazon. KDP is its own thing and can't be compared "apples to apples" with the store.

Just to clarify - not all titles were banned. It was 3 of them over two years, but that made me pull all erotica books from the zon for fear of being banned all together.
The banned book did not include any illegal content or real taboo subject, so it is not clear why exactly they were banned. It depend on a decision of particular reviewer, and as the zon rules are super vague, they block book according to their own interpretation and not consistently.
