I almost always read Young Adult or Children's books. One of my absolute favorites is The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo. I read this book every year. Bitter sweet throughout, I think that everyone can understand its message and relate to the feelings it conveys. Plus it has beautiful illustrations.

Recently, there have been a ton of Young Adult books being made into movies. Examples: Divergent, Catching Fire, Fault in our Stars, If I Stay

What are your thoughts on this? Why YA? Why now? Are they just better movie material? Or is it that Young Adult literature has finally found its place?
