Just finished. I read them too fast. I REALLY want The One NOW =( Re-reading I was less in the emotions but that happens in re-reading. Still the really good moments, or really bad as the case may be, still got to me. I also saw the guys in a much more academic or advisory manner. Still Team Maxon (if not just Team America =)).I do love Kriss and hope she stays good friends with both Maxon and America. I think Aspen and Lucy would make a good pair =) Celeste is horrible. I noticed Natalie's idiocy a bit more this time, but found it a little charming. Elise is really just a slot filler, but I guess that is what she is to Maxon to so... Oh well. I REALLY want the next book =(

I don't remember if this part was in this section or not but I've been thinking about it. I think the pivotal moment that makes me thing that America has to be with Maxon, and not because he is better than Aspen, is when Aspen tells America he doesn't think she'd be a good princess. It's not because he was being mean or anything. He wasn't. He was being honest. The thing is is that he's wrong. How can he not see it in her? How can he not believe in her? I get that he has a eschewed idea of royalty but still. I just think it is a very important moment. What do ya'll think?

Ok, so I forgive Maxon. Still think he should have done more. I get that he did a lot to try and stop everything but why didn't he run to the stage like American? Address his people and point out to them the how barbaric it was to cheer on someone else's pain? I kind of know why because of later stuff and this is a re-read for me but it still bothers me...

2 things I REALLY want to see addressed in The One is the rebel girl with the books and the Italian princess and her phone number... THEY HAVE TO MEAN SOMETHING!!!!

I'm not done reading this little section yet, but I just have to say: I am a fan of Queen Amberly. I am. But I am sorry. American did EXACTLY what she should have when Marlee and Carter were being caned AND there was NO shame in America attacking Celeste after the whore comment. Personally I think she should have been allowed to get a few more hits in.

After the Halloween party I knew what was coming and SO did not want to read the next chapter. This being a re-read I obviously know more about what was going on than the book has covered so far, but still... Around this time when I read the first time was when I said that I hated both guys and America needed to find a third choice. While on my re-read made my annoyance for Aspens pride lessen, Maxon's inaction still bugs me. It like having read more I understand he may have a reason to be a coward and that he wasn't completely a coward, but... HE WAS A COWARD in that moment. I was cheering America on as she ran for the stage. America was brave enough Maxon could have, should have been too. I don't know.... I let you know if what made me kind of forgive during my first read lets me forgive him again.

Just as good the second time! I forgot how giddy and giggly this book made me. On this re-read I definitely felt like I understood both guys better. Other than America, I love Marlee of course, but a less obvious answer (and it was true the first time I read the book) I like Kriss a lot. I still think I'd pick Maxon, but I definitely have more compassion and understanding for Aspen pride this time around. I feel sadder that America may have to let him go...

This book makes me all giggly and giddy! I love Prince Maxon. I really do. I swear this is the first book/movie/story that I have even been rooting for the rich guy, but EHHH HE IS SO SWEET! And America's unexplained nerves ;) Yeah =)))

Ok, like I said before this is a re-read to me and what I have found hilarious is reading about the characters and how they feel about each other and know how things change later. Not telling you who or how but it is funny. Second, a lot of the things characters did that really bugged me before didn't reading this second time. Honestly, I found it sadder. I guess because I know more about the characters than I did the first time. I get there motives this time. But I am really excited to keep reading. =) The action is really about to start!

Thought I'd say high again to everyone! This is a re-read for me. I really like these books. America Singer is an amazing lead character. I like that both guys are genuine love interests, but both are flawed. No ones perfect. =) Anyways I am very excited about this re-read!
