The book club unfortunately fizzled out.
But, you can still see a few recommended books on the group's main page:
https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
And you here's the conversations about those books:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
which you're welcome to add to if you're ok with me taking a month to get back to you :)

Susan Cain's book is wonderful and empowering. I am so glad that it helped you understand your introversion and use your introversion as your super power.
Have you read other introvert focused books? I also like Introvert Power and Introvert Advantage.

4 weeks. 4 books. One temperament.
If you’ve been wanting to learn more about introversion then this is the event for you!
You’ll learn about what introversion is, the traits many introverts have in common, practical advice, and much more (4 books worth of more!).

I'm quite new to Goodreads. I'm still quite unfamiliar with the site and the norms on it. Would any author be able to recommend his/ her own book to read? Also, can introversion just be one of..."
Hi S.D.
Excellent question. Thanks for asking. I'm not well versed on the norms of Goodreads either, so can't really help you out there. But in terms of this group I've just started a new folder called "Other" (and moved this thread over to that folder) where you can recommend your book: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
There should be a link saying "new topic" above the words "last activity." So you would click that, and then start a new post about your book.

I'm thinking about the future of this Goodreads group.
This year should I continue to choose one book a month about introversion, related to introversion, or written by an introvert? If so, should I continue to open a thread for discussion? We had very few participants "talking" about the book, but I don't know if that's just because we were the only ones who read the book, or were the only ones who wanted to talk about the book...
Or, should the purpose of this group be to recommend books other introverts would like?
Or, should we do something else that's not listed above?
Any thoughts?

Is there a certain book you'd like us to read in the new year?

I appreciated the short chapters. I only had snatches of time to read it, so it felt like I accomplished something when I was only able to read 4 pages.
I hear ya on the overreading on subjects though!

I tend to mainly get overwhelmed from crowds when I'm also expected to understand something verbal, or make a decision. I used to be fine with crowded concerts. But noisy restaurants? Nope.

Has it changed the way you think of introversion?

I think many people's mental picture of introversion and HSP are similar, so perhaps she thought there wasn't enough room in the innate-trait boat for the both of them.
I wasn't offended the first time I read the book, as it seemed to me that she just had a different take on introversion than me, but I'm thinking I should reread her passages on introversion now that I've read this article: http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/a...
The intersection of introversion and HSP seems to be a very sensitive topic for her.

No problem!
Here's a suggested breakdown, if you're hoping to read it by the end of the month:
September 14-20: Chapters 1-4
September 21-27: Chapters 4-8
September 28-30: Chapters 9, 10
