135633 This month we will be discussing Thin air. This is a group read, feel free to comment below what your thoughts are on the book.

In 1935, young medic Stephen Pearce travels to India to join an expedition with his brother, Kits. The elite team of five will climb Kangchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain and one of mountaineering's biggest killers. No one has scaled it before, and they are, quite literally, following in the footsteps of one of the most famous mountain disasters of all time - the 1907 Lyell Expedition.

Five men lost their lives back then, overcome by the atrocious weather, misfortune and 'mountain sickness' at such high altitudes. Lyell became a classic British hero when he published his memoir, Bloody, But Unbowed, which regaled his heroism in the face of extreme odds. It is this book that will guide this new group to get to the very top.

As the team prepare for the epic climb, Pearce's unease about the expedition deepens. The only other survivor of the 1907 expedition, Charles Tennant, warns him off. He hints of dark things ahead and tells Pearce that, while five men lost their lives on the mountain, only four were laid to rest.

But Pearce is determined to go ahead and complete something that he has dreamed of his entire life. As they get higher and higher, and the oxygen levels drop, he starts to see dark things out of the corners of his eyes. As macabre mementoes of the earlier climbers turn up on the trail, Stephen starts to suspect that Charles Lyell's account of the tragedy was perhaps not the full story...

135633 When Rezkin puts a trap on Fricha's room door for her safety. What exactly does he put on her door to keep someone from entering her room?

I love Nick Podehl as the reader. I really hope is the reader for the next books. I have actually searched out books that he reads for because I thought he read so well with your books.

I am looking forward to reading what happens, and hopefully finding out ;)

There were a lot of interesting new ideas that I had read in your book. One of them was inking, which I thought was a brilliant idea. Even though it is a drug. Another was the mask that rez wore for the tournament. How did the idea of Inking come to you? Was it something that just popped into your head?

Your question has caused an huge discussion between my nephew and myself. The closest I could find that comes close to the image I picture Rez when I read, would be a younger keanu reeves. Although I do agree some what with you about Ezra Miller. We both agreed that Ariana Grande would play a good Frischa. lol

I am not asking for a spoiler here but one thing that I find I am constantly thinking about is. What was King Bordan's (Sorry if spelt wrong) real intentions for Rezkin. Will we ever really find out? I am not asking when, or what they are. Only if we will ever discover his true intentions for Rezkin.

LOL Ivar

Who do you picture as Rezkin when you think of casting? I personally don't think anyone could play him ;)

You see a glimpse of what Rez likes in the second book when he listened to the song about lost love, I think that was it. He was only just starting to appreciate music for more than the technical points, and actually began to wonder about the people in the song. I personally love the way his mind works. How he processes everything.

135633 I thought I would try something different while looking for a book to read. I really enjoyed listening to Nick Podehl read Free the Darkness (King's Dark Tidings, #1) by Kel Kade So I looked up what other books he has read, and found a couple that I think I might like. So I am currently listening to A Warrior's Path (The Castes and the OutCastes, #1) by Davis Ashura and after that I will be listening to Mage's Blood (Moontide Quartet, #1) by David Hair

135633 I felt like reading a good werewolf book. But I didn't want a full on erotica story which seems to be the theme for most werewolf books. (except for those few rare writers who don't do this) So I was happy when I stumbled across a series that actually had a story. It isn't a great book, and needs some editing but the fact that there is a storyline that doesn't involve the character meeting and inta-love and non stop sex had me reading almost all the series. It actually has an original storyline. Hope(less) (Judgement of the Six, #1) by Melissa Haag

Oh awesome, I love the series. The writer has taken something that is so common in the paranormal and made them unique in her own way. I had found the world she had built in the story fascinating also. I hope you end up liking it when you do read it!

It could be the way I sent the message. When I set up the polls it ask if you want to send message to everyone in group to let them know, and I did it that way. Next time I will just do it the way I normally send messages. I am sorry you didn't get a chance to vote
