Nepal Update (1 new)
May 12, 2015 05:27PM

137995 Dear Readers,

#Pages4Progress 2015 is still a few weeks away. Today, you can help keep education a priority in Nepal.

Many of the communities where we work were severely impacted by the earthquake in Nepal. World Education is continuing our long-term efforts in Nepal to assist with the rehabilitation of schools and education programs. Learn more about World Education's ongoing work in Nepal.

Please consider making a donation to support World Education’s Nepal Relief Fund. 100% of donations go directly to our trusted and long-term partners in Nepal to address the needs of the poor and, in particular, youth through education.

Hi Victoria,

Thank you so much for reading. Unfortunately, we are no longer collecting pages as part of our summer campaign, but there are still ways you can get involved!

Check out our open letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and sign it if you believe that education should be a right for everyone!

137995 Happy International Literacy Day!

You’ve worked hard all summer logging pages for #Pages4Progress and we couldn’t be more grateful for your support. Thank you!

We’re happy to announce that all your reading paid off – you read 2,465,826 pages.

By connecting with the campaign and engaging with fellow readers on this site, you’ve shown that you’re more than just “fans” of literacy – you’re willing to work for the cause. We’re thrilled to be connected with such fantastic advocates and supporters.

The campaign so overwhelmed our expectations that we can’t stop talking about it! Visit www.worlded.org/pages4progress to learn how we're starting the next chapter.

Hi Barbara!

We're so close to meeting our goal! Right now we've logged 1,977,102 pages ... and counting!

This is the last weekend for the campaign, so keep up the hard work. We'll announce the final totals on Monday, September 8th, which is International Literacy Day.

Stay tuned!

You're more than welcome to log pages from audio books! After you finish listening to one, just find out how many pages the print book is and use that as your log amount.

You're right, Kelsi, you can only log the pages you've read since the campaign started, on June 30th. We're so glad you're reading! Keep up the good work.

Actually, you post your pages here, on the #Pages4Project website: http://worlded.org/pages4progress/

This group is just to recommend books and talk about what everyone engaged in the project is reading.

Thanks for reading and keep up the hard work!
137995 That's a great point! I'm adding it to my summer reading list. Thank you so much for reading for #Pages4Progress!
